Born in 1977 in France. Live in Berlin since 2010.
From 1996 to 2001 I studied at the fine arts school in Saint-Etienne (France) where I obtained my diplomas with the congratulations of the jury (in 1999 and 2001).
In 1994, an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in Saint-Etienne confronts me, for the first time, to images of Bernd & Hilla Becher, Thomas Ruff and Thomas Struth. I then began to photograph. Even if this aesthetic experience was fundamental, I then detached myself from this tradition and the distance it establishes with its subject.
My photographs deal with man-made space (not staged by myself) in which tastes, preferences and desires are revealed. It is often nature that inspires us as a world of colour and form. Accordingly, I turn to subtly observed interior photographs as well as panoramic landscape motifs, but also images of hunting, display photographs from natural history museums, architecture and close-up shots of sculptures in museums.
